Takk… for nothing

Hmm, I just found out that the copy of Takk… that I bought wasn’t the special whizz bang limited edition version. You wouldn’t believe, that makes me extraordinarily irritated. I went into Edinburgh to buy it (I did something else there; I didn’t especially go into Edinburgh just to buy a CD you understand), and when I got there the normal one was the only one on the shelves!

I didn’t think much of it. Since it wasn’t in a jewel case I thought it was the limited edition, although I did wonder why it was the only one on the shelf. I love my fancy boxes! Hmph.

The full horror of the ruined copy of VonI should have seen this coming mind you. I’ve not always had the best luck when purchasing Sigur Rós music. When I first bought Ágætis Byrjun it came without a booklet and I had to get it exchanged. My copy of the Vaka EP wouldn’t play on the computer. Then there was the more recent problem with Glósóli.

My copy of Von has also been damaged. The purple-coloured case reacted badly when I put… an orange skin on it. The result was the horror that you see on the right. Who knew an orange skin could do so much damage?!
