Foreign coverage

The Liberal Dissenter has a post about CNN’s coverage of the London attacks.

I’ve only got Freeview, so I don’t have CNN, and I’ve probably watched a total of about five minutes of CNN International, or whatever it’s called, in my lifetime. Sounds like it’s just as well.

On Thursday night I watched ABC’s World News Tonight With Peter Jennings (without Peter Jennings) — BBC News 24 shows it every day at 1:30am. They said that one of the bombs exploded in Liverpool.

The problem with tittering at foreign media outlets, though, is that the BBC probably makes similar mistakes from time to time aswell…

  1. Best coverage on the day was ITV. I’m not usually a fan of theirs, but the information and presentation was top throughout – compared to the BBC, Channel 4 and Five anyway.
