As touched on already on Twitter, my Dad only managed to bribe me along to a football match once - I hated it then and now. He had been the chair of the St Johnstone FC supporters club, so I suppose he was kind of obliged to try, but we left Perth when I wasn't quite 2. We were living in Cathness, when he attempted it with me aged around 7 during a visit to relatives - I was promised some food related bribe at half-time, which I remember disappointing. I don't remember anything of any proceedings on the grass - was probably not tall enough to see and wouldn't have bothered asking anyway. At least it was not for another six years that I was obliged to actually play this over-rated game (without any prior experience BTW) when I knocked myself out on the tarmac gym floor on my second day at Woodmill High School and was let off for 10 minutes! I got my own back by always being left last as goalie when teams were picked - I just stood still in the goals whatever (I'd have been listening to my trannie if they's have let me keep it). I suppose the rest of the team just had to work extra hard on defence, knowing my modus operandi.

Shocking... a whiff of silverware and there you are - Glory Chaser! ;)

Anyway, joking aside, well done to Dumbarton and kudos to their fans. Personally, I was happier to see Raith Rovers get promoted - mainly on account of the tenner I placed on them at 3/1 to win Division 2 at the start of the season, with winnings that more than absorb the £5 each way I had on Queen of the South for Division 1, which appears to have gone up the Swannee.

What?
I drive you all the way there. I drive you all the way back.
I pay you in! And you diss the experience?
[Don't forget we had to stop for something to eat on the way back as well. And? - (You got it.)]

But yes, the game was not a contest.
However, the Champions League semi-final between Barcelona and Chelsea last Tuesday was a rubbish spectacle too, even though the teams were well matched.
It happens.
