In lieu of proper blogging

You might know that I am a big fan of Last.fm (my profile is here).
But I have only just started to play around with the ‘playlist’ feature. I quite like this. It’s a bit like making a mixtape, but without all of the hassle of actually making it. Seemingly, even though you can put the tracks in a set order, there is no way to get it to actually play in that order (not that I’ve found anyway). It is automatically shuffled.
So, as though you were really interested in what music I’m into at the moment, here are 30 of my favourite pieces of music at the moment. No particular theme. It goes a bit all over the place really. Some points of note. The version of Björk’s ‘Pluto’ is a live version, which is not what I intended, although it is good enough.
Also look out for that performance of John Cage’s ‘Sonata XII’. I’ve heard a few different CDs of it, but I’ve never heard anyone with enough bravery to play it so fast! Whoever performed it must have been on fire.
The embed looks a little bit funny on this blog for some reason, but you get the general picture.

Proper blogging soon. Perhaps.

Yeah, I’m a big fan of his last two albums (even though many long-time Scott Walker fans can’t stand them!).
