Yet more proof of how moronic the commenters at Scotsman.com are. The Scotsman had a story about how Shell is planning to scale down operations in the North Sea.
The conclusion of the commenters?
“It’s time to control what is left. We are not greedy. Another 50 years of lower output will suit Scotland (independent) just fine.”
“Independence is a must.”
The message from the nationalists at Scotsman.com appears to be that if the North Sea contains oil, that is a reason why Scotland should be independent. But if the North Sea doesn’t contain oil, that is also a reason why Scotland should be independent.

I think it’s stupid how all Scotlands problems are blamed on lack of independence. It’s pathetic. Frankly I think Independence for Scotland would be the worst thing to happen to the country since Salmond opened his big mouth.
