A good day to dig for buried bad news
10 May 2007 16:42
The Guardian: Cost of ID cards rockets by £840m.
Posted at almost exactly the same time as some guy said something we’ve known he was going to say for a whole year.
Update: Some more bad news:
- UK ‘worst’ on cancer drug access —
The UK has one of the worst records over access to new cancer drugs as stark inequalities exist across the world
- UK interest rates raised to 5.5% —
its highest level since 2001
- UK trade deficit widens to £4.5bn —
The shortfall in trades and services grew to £4.5bn in March
Update: Home Office Watch: Guess what they’re publishing today…:
It has just been announced in today’s parliamentary business that the ID cards cost report – which the government was legally obliged (I repeat, legally obliged) to publish 31 days ago – is to be published today.
