Too many channels, too much choice but basically it is still the same old reg-urgetated rubbish!

You also now have BBC i which allows you to watch all your favourite programs from the last 7 days, even longer if you have a Sky Box. Even if the programs were worth watching, when do people get the time to watch all these without becoming a ‘coach potato’?

i am pleased virgin is going on freeview why does richerd brasdan take all programs like living and bravo of bskyb when his contract runs out and he does the dirt on bskyb like they did to richerd bskyb keep repeting the same programes about 4 to 5 times a week all the programes that sky owen are a load of shit paramount show mash 23 times when it fineshed they show it again again again the same with fraiser custermers who pay sky do knot wont to watch repets on paramount fo the next 10yrs who is running paramaunt a fucking dick head i can do the job better

I agree with pretty much everything you’ve said, in fact having just spent two weeks staying with my parents in England (we don’t have freeview in Jersey) I was going to write a similar post myself.

I think ftn is only going to improve over the next year or so with Virgin looking to launch a TV channel (rumour). With Virgin money and the Flextech archive we could see a really unique commercial channel showing the others the way forward.

However once Digital is the only way to go and tens of millions of homes are on Freeview I think SKY et al will be putting a LOT more money and effort into their freeview channels as the advertising revenue will be worth more than the subsciption revenue on their pay channels.

I only really have freeview to get a decent reception. The normal terrestrial signal is poor, even though I can see the transmitter from my street. I did like to watch the music channels but TMF, as you say, is now garbage.
