I am exactly the same. Political blogging was my initial idea but my enthusiasm soon waned and now I seem to only moan about football. Which is no better. 

I see your blog as being more about the blogger them self than the subject matter. There are quite a few blogs I read not for any great insight or area of interest, just because I like the way they write and to hear about their trials and tribulations (so to speak)....
