It’s unfinished, of course but I thought I would give you a look before I did any more. (Also, it is late and I can’t really be bothered any more!) So what do you think?

Well, um, not liking the blue lines across on the frontpage, makes it very confusing to look at. Also not liking the massive whitespace (with lines), and the blogroll is unreadable. That’s in Fx on XP 1024 res.
However, on IE6, it looks diffferent. Very different. Right column only in the right place on full screen, otherwise it’s below the main column, background is dark grey, acrosss the board, text is white on dark grey and, um, it looks OK.
Of course, my preference for light text/dark background is established now but…
Fonts in IE are a mixture, mostly Verdana but main text appears to be TimesNR (ugly font). More work needed, but the change between IE and Fx is weird.

Sorry it took me so long to reply.
The blue lines should not be there at all. Have you tried force refreshing?
I solved that problem about fonts and the sidebar dropping off to below the main content (and hopefully the thing about IE aswell, although I haven’t checked yet). They were related to the same silly mistake I made last night!
How about the general layout though, and colours? This wasn’t my original intention! Originally it was going to be black text on a plain white background with some tangerine here and there. But I had a quick test of these colours, almost by accident, and I really liked it straight away! I’m not so sure about the orange though?…

Seems to work better; hadn’t tried hard refreshing, but they were all gone when I got here today. Ah well, some weird remnent from somewhere.
Looks better in IE as well, although strangely my favicon comes up as a red X, but it’s displaying fine in Firefox. IE sucks, basically.
Um, I see no orange. Is there supposed to be orange?

Heh nah, I changed the design again. I take it you noticed that the background is no longer dark, but it’s back to white again? I think I’ll stick with pretty much this design for the time being, unless I get any negative feedback about the way it looks.

Weird, I never saw the dark background in Fx, only IE, where it looked wrong. Must’ve not hit refresh and got an old style sheet. Ah well.
I stopped obsessively fiddling with my template awhileback, still not happy with it, but it works, so it’ll do.
