Yeah, I was thinking exactly about The League Against Tedium. He had a programme on BBC Two a few years back, 'Attention, Scum!' I remember the Beeb put it in a rubbish slot, after midnight on a Sunday, but it was really good. That's the first I've seen of him since -- what a disappointment.

Absolutely agree on most things you've said here. The Late Edition veers wildly between utter dross and vital biting satire week by week, but Brigstocke really needs to stop wanting to be Jon Stewart of The Daily Show and be himself - a very funny political stand-up. As for Simon Munnery - his descent into toss is astounding. Remember The League Against Tedium? Fantastic. I go to see his shows every year, hoping against hope for a return to form, and am always, always disappointed.

Thanks for the previous link, by the way.

I dunno, I haven't noticed any comments disappearing or anything like that. Somebody clearly has it in for The Devil's Kitchen though!

<a href="http://www.firstfoot.com/php/topsites/index.php?a=stats&u=179&all_reviews=1">Review of Arthur's Seat</a>:

<blockquote>I imagine if ever I looked at this site it would be a load of crap so I'll save myself the hassle of looking - its crap!</blockquote>

I wouldn't take the reviews too seriously.

Like you, the Scottish Top 100 comments box of my blog listing has been inundated with negative comments. I did a little research and saw that all the blogs on this list were getting this sort of comment spam... all except Shuggy's Blogspot and Freedom and Whiskey... when I then commented on this in all the other blogs, the comments miraculously disappeared overnight (how this happened I don't know). Then, in the spirit of empiricism I left some scathing comments in both Shuggy's Blogspot and Freedom and Whiskey's, and guess what? These negative comments also disappeared. Something very fucking fishy is going on, eh?

I'm with you on Little Britain - the writing of the last couple of series has just been lazy. I thought it was very short-sighted to add a second bad tranny in the last series, simply because the fact that s/he was so solitary was part of the joke. Then they did the same with the health club sketches. It's almost as if they get a good character, and both David and Matt want to play it.

They should think seriously about killing it all off while they're ahead. A Lou and Andy special would be a great idea, though.
