I went, “aaaaaaaaaaaahhH!!!!” The new Sigur Rós single is Hoppípolla (my favourite from the album) and the B-side is a recording of the new version of Hafssól. Yess!

Did you see them on Jools Holland’s show last night? Took a while for the sound technicians to sort out the vocals vs guitar, but it was a thing of beauty.

It was even subtitled in Icelandic! (well, till about halfway when the subtitler had obviously had enough and just started putting thngs like “HE REPEATS LYRICS” once the other sngers joined in over him). They made an otherwise average show something special tho.

Yeah, it was exciting to see them on the telly! They were great. I liked Jools’ comment, “Comb your hair a different way.”
