A look at the new redesigned Berliner version of The Guardian.
I actually said, “Bloody hell!” I didn’t expect them to ditch the logo — it’s so recognisable, and I thought it would look just as good on a smaller page. I suppose this is all so that they can say, “look! look we’re all in colour!”, but didn’t The Daily Star say that aswell?
I’m still to read this all, but I hope the website gets improved aswell. I’ve never been satisfied with the design, especially navigation wise.
Update: More from Perfect.co.uk.

Crikey! Imagine changing the mast-head, that is pretty daring of them. I hope they don’t ruin the paper… I was always very fond of G2.

I was just thinking, if you count the adverty bits at the top, the masthead takes up about a third of the page! Perhaps it’s different because it’s not a proper issue, but that’s a lot of space to be giving away if you ask me…

I like it, it brightens up the front page. Ah well, we shall see what the final version looks like.

As long as it’s possible to read it on the train, i’m not too bothered how it looks…
