   what about songs that were written specifically for the hurricane katrina disaster of new orleans and the gulf coast?

   my favorites are:

   the legendary KO “george bush doesn’t care about black people”

   and

   ric farrell “washed away (on the streets of new orleans)”

   and

   follow no trends “noah’s ark”

   there are many others including kanye west (written by chuck d, of public enemy) “hell no we ain’t alright”, prince “sst”, stevie wonder “shelter from the rain”, chuck white (”rise up”), and many others.

   i really like a song about hurricane katrina but i cant figure out the name anyone that thinks they know please tell me

   here is a part of it that i know:

   “this is dedicated to my family and friends how long has it been far to long this is my i miss you song before your gone!”
