The RSS feed of what I’m listening to (on the sidebar) came back a wee bit ago, and now the Audioscrobbler website itself is back! Very slowly. I can only tell that something’s happening because my bookmark has redirected me to last.fm. It’ll be strange if they keep the name Audioscrobbler but have last.fm for all the URLs…

Ah, it’s just loaded now! What a beautiful design!

It seems as though the website is now “last.fm powered by Audioscrobbler” which is confusing, because the favicon is a nice little “AS” (presumably meaning Audioscrobbler) logo. But it looks like the “AS” is acutally from the “last.fm” logo.

Now there are loads more charts, listing every single track I’ve listened to in the past week (not just the top ten), apparently the top three hundred artists that I’ve listened to (not just the top fifty), and I can even choose different months and everything.

I got very excited when I saw a link for an ‘albums’ chart, but it only lists six albums, and it’s not my six most frequently listened-to ones…

Anyway, hopefully this lovely facelift will come with improved punctuality with the weekly charts. Looks good so far. :D

Update: Okay, some more things to add. The site is still very slow, but there’s so much stuff here. I never used the radio thing much, but there seem to be lots of good features (for instance, you can create your own radio station just by tapping in a few bands that you like… Don’t know if you could do this before).

Tags are another interesting one. I’m not too good with the old genre classification business, but tagging is certainly an interesting addition to the site.

Groups, unfortunately, now need 15 members for charts to be calculated (it used to be 10)… Bummer. The politics thing seems quite weird to me.. No doubt people will be having some fun with that.

All-in-all, I like the changes though!

Update: I can’t seem to find the RSS feeds. Don’t say they’ve got rid of them?!
