Third Avenue has a good post outlining where the right went wrong. I quite agree. Getting voters (especially of a right-wing persuasion) to be proud of their country shouldn’t be too difficult. A minor sporting event is enough to get most people going.
I haven’t been able to read the article in The Spectator. But apparently Anthony Browne’s only reasons to be proud of contemporary Britain are Dolly the Sheep and Dido. Gah! Dido is surely one mega reason to be un-proud of Britain.
