I haven't read much 21st century fiction (apart from Neal Stephenson who is a bit of a techy), primarily because I'm stuck in a time warp - so I've no recommendations if the thought of reading yet another book about drugged-up hippies makes you gag - but I'm sure there's some great stuff out there.
