Interestingly enough, of the two Tories of about my age that I know, one of them is actually voting SNP. The other one used to be a big SNP supporter — until he moved to England to go to university.

This leads me to think that there would be a big opportunity for a ‘right-wing’ political party that favours Scottish independence. With the SSP around, the left-wing pro-independence vote has a relatively substantial party of its own. Could the gap in the right (if you want to call it that) be filled by the SNP?
