There appears to be a bit of a hoo-ha over a regional news bulletin that was pre-recorded.
Of course, this is nothing. The ITV News Channel is pre-recorded all night. On a Friday night they even show the News at Ten Thirty over and over again, all night. Sometimes they even get part one and part two mixed up. “Breaking News for Britain” is their slogan — but they’re only breaking news if it happens before midnight. And not during a commercial break.
I don’t know if this is still the case though. The ITV News Channel — which disappeared about six months ago now to make way for ITV3 of all things — is still due to return to Freeview in this area in “early 2005.”
