Sort of. Well, I mean, I was reading this article about crosswords on BBC News Online.

…this gem from the latest Spectator: “Constitution for EU amended (five letters)”.

I understood the clue! I knew that it was an anagram of ‘for EU’. I do feel quite proud, like I’ve taken a big leap up. But in reality, it’s worthless when you’ve never heard of ‘fuero’.

I got loads in today’s Guardian Quick Crossword. I still wasn’t able to complete it though. And the books are a lot harder. Maybe it’s just being in a train that puts me off or something, but I am lucky sometimes if I get five or six words in some of them…
